Llanelli Sosban Soup Station

The Sosban Soup Station is open between 6.30-8.30pm every Sunday evening at The Vestry (Presby) Llanelli.

In the age of austerity and economic uncertainly with many people in food poverty, we offer a hot drink, bowl of soup and a roll / bread to those in need such as homeless, elderly and vulnerable persons. If you or someone you know is in need, please pop in and visit. All Welcome!

If you would like to make a donation or can spare a couple of hours (even if occasionally), please call by and say hello on a Sunday night, or contact Gary Glenister as all support is appreciated.

The Sosban Soup Station is organised by Welcome Christian Fellowship / GCI Llanelli (www.llanelli.church) as a service to Llanelli. We have a short service 5-6pm before the Soup Station. All Welcome!!

The Soup Station is operated by a team of volunteers from a variety of churches and other backgrounds and all are welcome!!

If you would like to donate to Sosban soup station, donations can be dropped off on a Sunday either between 6 and 8.30. or contact Gary on the details below to arrange other times. Update November 2019 - After being blessed with using Y Lle for the last 3 years, the premises is for sale so we have found a new home.
We are delighted to announce that Kings Church has welcomed us into The Vestry at Presby starting from this week (6th October).
The format will be the same with Sosban Soup Station 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
We look forward to working with Kings Church and thank them for welcoming us to use Presby.THE VESTRY

Update 25/09/2016 - as of tonight the Sosban Soup Station is moving indoors to Y Lle, Old Castle Road. The Welsh name for the Soup Station will be Gorsaf Gawl y Sosban.

Update 18/08/2016 - things have been ticking over out on the street. Flyers have gone out to key agencies and we're still learning every week! Gary had an interview with the Llanelli Star today who contacted him, and has also provided information to a community magazine so hopefully they will say nice things about us and reach those in need. Winter time is going to be a challenge, however there may be opportunities so watch this space!

Update 22/05/2016 Sosban Soup Station started Sunday 22May 7-9pm. We're in the square between the Town Hall and the Police Station. In a time of austerity and food poverty we'll be providing soup and a roll / bread for those who need a hot meal. Hot drinks will also be available.
If you know anyone in need, send them our way.
If you would like to help or donate please come and see us or message me (Gary - see Links page).
